The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Before LPGA First Appearance
The rising star maintains substantial online presence
The young golfer can count on numerous well-known backers when she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple international courses and often matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in only three events in 2024 and maintains position 461 in AJGA listings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive person. He told me to play, relax, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face several most prominent players in the sport at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials stated that her participation exposes golf to new audiences, particularly reaching the next generation.
Kai boasts substantial online presence and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle brand.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
