Plant-Based Cooking in the Algarve

This sun-drenched culinary holiday, set on a villa by the river in the inland Algarve, is inspired by the vegetarian dishes of celebrated cooks. Guests will learn to produce selection of small dishes, attend a falafel-making workshop, refine brunch dishes such as shakshuka, and make hearty mains like spicy mushroom ragu and moussaka. The schedule includes trips to the village market and a local vineyard to taste local vintages, plus free time for strolls by the nearby river, to unwind on the terrace or take a dip in the infinity pool. Street Dance in Buckinghamshire

Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an energizing, welcoming three-day adults’ street dance camp in High Wycombe. The format throughout the camp is a high-energy group warmup, then three 90-minute workshops teaching various urban dance forms, then an 60-minute freestyle session to show off those solos. Participants are split into groups according to ability and experience, so it is suitable for those who are completely new to street dance, right up to experienced performers or instructors. The camp does not provide lodging but there are a number of hostels and hotels within walking distance, and it is under an hour by train into London.

Maritime Singing Weekend in Cornwall

This coastal town is the ideal setting for a maritime music retreat. Guests will be taught traditional shanties from a folk singer and vocal coach, and have a go at composing original ones. The schedule includes vocal warmups, breathing exercises, performance tips and a final evening concert. The holiday is held in a rural hotel with views of the bay. Writer and tutor Greg Mosse runs the regular sessions on this writing retreat. He covers everything from plot, characters, setting and tension, to sending manuscripts to publishers.
