A devastating blast at a law enforcement facility in Indian-administered Kashmir has resulted in the fatalities of nine individuals and wounding to thirty-two others, according to authority reports.
The event happened when a collection of confiscated explosives inadvertently exploded during management operations.

The blast happened on Friday night at the Nowgam law enforcement facility, where explosive materials confiscated in the Faridabad area in the northern state of Haryana were being kept briefly.
Regional security director stated that the detonation substances were scheduled for technical investigation when a "extremely tragic" accident during management led to their detonation at approximately 23:20 in the evening.

Police authorities asserted that this was an "unintentional explosion" and not a militant action. "Alternative theories regarding the reason of this incident is unnecessary," stressed the law enforcement head during a media conference.
The police station suffered significant harm from the blast, with nearby constructions also being influenced by the intense detonation.
Impact and Victims
Numerous cars were "engulfed in flames and transformed into ashen remains, with debris scattered across the area," according to police accounts.
"The intensity of the detonation was so powerful that some human remains were recovered from nearby houses, approximately 100-200 metres away the security post," reported an authority informant.
Most of the victims were security officials, along with technical investigation team, two evidence documentation specialists, and a tailor who was with the team.
